COVID-19 Update from the Chief Superintendent

March 18, 2020

The pandemic referred to as COVID-19 has created trying and uncertain times for all of us.  Frontier School Division has ceased all classes as of the end of day March 17, 2020. Throughout the Division staff have been afforded the opportunity to work from home.  This is obviously an easier option for some than others given the many different duties throughout the division.  Currently we have asked bus drivers, maintenance, and custodial staff to ensure our buses and schools are cleaned, disinfected, and in great working order just in case they are needed for any emergency measures the Pandemic could bring our way.  We all pray and hope this does not occur.

As a Division we have worked closely with community leaders as they have set certain measures in place to keep their communities as safe as possible.  I ask all of you to follow the expectations of the community you work in.  As well, please adhere to the instructions as outlined by our health officials, available on government websites, many of which are listed on the Frontier website.

And finally, I wish to thank all employees of Frontier School Division for their care and attention they have given and continue to give during these unpredictable times. You all make our Division proud.

Reg Klassen

Chief Superintendent
