Student Vote is a project of Civix Canada whose aim is to provide students with an opportunity to exercise the democratic process firsthand and practice the habits of informed and engaging citizenship.

The Student Vote was held on September 17, 2021 at Leaf Rapids Education Centre, at the high school lobby. This is the fifth time that Leaf Rapids School has been participating in the student vote, and the first school in Frontier School Division to join other schools in Canada in this nationwide Student Vote. The student voters were provided with a list of candidates for the Churchill riding in Manitoba who represented the five major political parties in Canada, and they were instructed on how to fill out the ballots properly. A total of 61 students from grades 4 to Grade 12 cast their votes. Results of the election was forwarded to Civix Canada, but it would not be counted as votes for the candidates in the actual election.

Churchill Riding Candidates included Niki Ashton (NDP), Charlotte Larocques (Conservative Party) Shirley Robinson (Liberal Party), Dylan Young (Peoples' Party) and Ralph McClean (Green Party).
