The Frontier School Division Board of Trustees and senior administration are holding public online town hall meetings to discuss the Province of Manitoba's proposed changes to the education system—Bill 64 – The Education Modernization Act.

We have been led to believe that this proposed legislation, should it be given Royal Assent, will take effect July 1, 2022. If that happens Frontier School Division will no longer exist. Every school in Frontier will become part of the Manitoba Education Authority.

We invite all parents/staff/students and residents in the Division to join us for this discussion about the future of our school division.

To allow for maximum participation, all sessions run from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Dates below are specific to school areas, but if you are not able to join in the session targeted for your school area please feel free to join in any other date.

  • Area 3 schools:   Monday, May 17
  • Area 1 schools:   Wednesday, May 19
  • Area 5 schools:   Tuesday, May 25
  • Area 4 schools:   Wednesday, May 26
  • Area 2 schools:   Monday, May 31

To participate online, email us for Zoom info.

Please contact your local School Principal or Area Superintendent if you have any questions.

We look forward to your participation in this important event.
