Wear orange, take a moment of silence, to honour the children

June 01, 2021
We acknowledge the families and community of Tk’emlúps te Secwe̓pemc First Nation and join in mourning the loss of their children. In honour of the 215 children’s remains discovered at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School, Frontier schools have lowered their flags to half-mast for 215 hours beginning May 31.

Frontier staff and students are encouraged to wear orange on Wednesday, June 2, in honour of the 215 children and all the children who never returned home. We also encourage everyone to set aside physical or virtual spaces to practice a moment of silence at 2:15 p.m. on June 2.
