Results from the 40th Anniversary Terry Fox School Run are in and 12 Frontier School Division schools raised over $3,900 for the Terry Fox Foundation—an incredible accomplishment!
We are very proud to report that FSD schools have raised almost $250,000 as part of the Terry Fox School Run over the years, helping Canadian researchers make great strides against cancer.
A thank you note from Breanne Nemez, School and Event Coordinator at the Terry Fox Foundation, congratulated Mel Johnson School for raising the most dollars in FSD (and ranking in the Top 50 Fundraising Schools in Manitoba for 2020) with a total of $1071.30 through 14 runs. Matheson Island School got an honourable mention for raising an impressive $1,054.40 with only 11 runs, earning it a “Manitoba spotlight at our National Review meeting earlier in the year," wrote Breanne.
“In 1980, Terry Fox set out on a mission to transform his dream of finding a cure for cancer into reality," wrote Breanne.
“Terry never faltered in his determination and perseverance and we are honoured to see the Frontier School Division family of schools bring the same strength and spirit to this fight 40 years later."
