Frontier students participated in a Food Matters gathering from April 26-28th at Bakers Narrows Lodge. This is the second year FSD students have participated in the event and it was a great success!
Students were engaged in many land-based activities including rabbit snaring, goose plucking, prepping and cooking, net setting and fish filleting, lynx skinning, traditional medicines, shelter building, medicine wheel teachings and more.
We would like to thank Alex and Damien at Food Matters and Bakers Narrows Lodge for hosting the event, as well as Cindy O'Nabigon for her traditional teachings on Sunday.
Everyone was deeply engaged and had a great time during this wonderful learning experience!
