Since 1994, every October 5th we recognize World Teacher's Day. And while we appreciate our teachers every day, it's so important we take a moment to step back and really look at everything teachers bring to our communities.
Since the impact of COVID-19 especially, we have seen the ways our teachers step up as leaders and innovators, ensuring that student learning never stops. Our teachers have done everything from remote learning by phone, to preparing learning packages and delivering them to students by boat!
This past October 5, Principal Nepinak from Minegoziibe Anishinabe School celebrated World Teacher Day with her teaching team. All teachers received a certificate and enjoyed some celebratory cake with their coffee.
