"Our FSD Science Department is committed to the advancement of Science and STEM education. Science in FSD supports the ongoing connections and efforts in Literacy, Numeracy, Indigenous Way of Life, Technology, Careers, Health & Wellness, and more.
We take pride in our many initiatives and priorities, including:
- Support of youth and staff across FSD with modeling new approaches to teaching Science and providing expert professional development opportunities
- Providing opportunities for students to showcase their own learning and achievements in Science in local, provincial, and national events
- Specialized programming and support in areas such as Arctic science, 3-D printing and modeling, drones, field-based environmental studies, and more
- Building professional partnerships in multiple fields of Science to help support the growth and development of our youth, our staff, and ourselves
